I created The Release List: Tools and Tales for Letting Go because I needed a place to put the things I couldn’t keep carrying. All my worries, concerns, and fears. My hopes, my dreams, and my prayers. Either for myself or for others. These things are made up of things I want, things I fear, and things I dread. All of them are things I don’t want rattling around in my head and need to let go of.
It represents what I call my “worry wheel.” The two core principles of Reflecting and Releasing! In reflecting on them, write them down in the perforated section called release. Then, fold them up and tuck that piece of paper away, right in the back of this book, in the file folder provided. After a while, look back at the things you tucked away. Did something shift or resolve itself?
This book is not about being perfect. It is about practice. It is a space to release what weighs on you, what you long for, what you need to name and tame. Whether it is a small wish or a big fear, writing it down is an act of release, a quiet way of saying, I am ready to let this go.

Victoria Bert has always been drawn to storytelling. She has written and produced
across film, television, reality, and digital platforms, and after more than a decade in
News, she founded her own production company in 2002.
In 2025, she co-founded Killer Shot Films, a genre-focused production company
developing original horror, and launched The Watchers, a film podcast. She writes about
film, television, and life on Substack at Let's Talk About It! She also serves as Creative
Director and Chief Content Officer of Wocstar Media, developing bold, inclusive work
with directors, writers, producers, and artists.
She believes the best stories do more than entertain. They move people, inspire them,
and remind us why stories matter. The Release List is an extension of that belief, a book
about using story as a path toward clarity, healing, and moving forward.
